Yes, you absolutely can! We very much encourage clients to have other, existing IOT devices utilise the communication capabilities of VistaZ so that you stream data from your assets only once into the cloud instead of having two or more devices connect in parallel from the same asset. One example would be if you already had smart controllers that could then send their data to a VistaZ which then uploads all together. Additionally, Playbook offers you the ability to manage your existing IOT data in one place so you do have the advantage of a single point of data analytics and control.

VistaZ takes photos at intervals that are set in accordance with the client and the objectives. These intervals can be varied across installations, accounts or regions, of course. We will advise you on the right setup for your specific situation.

VistaZ is a zero-energy design, harvesting ambient light inside the store via it’s solar panels to automatically recharge the battery. The life of the battery from fully charged to being empty depends on several factors like the luminosity at the place of installation, the number of images taken and cellular signal strength. You can find a detailed table on the spec sheet that you can download on this site. In typical conditions we expect several years of usage.

Our VistaZ cameras are installed on the inside of coolers or shelves and are pointed towards the products, not towards consumers. This does significantly reduce the risk of accidentally capturing an image with a consumer in the field of vision. Occasionally it happens that a hand or part of an arm is on a picture which then gets automatically erased by our Visual AI engine. In short, there is no privacy risk related to our technology and no personal or sensitive information is captured, let alone stored.

VistaZ was designed to fit the vast majority of commercial coolers and freezers. It has a very compact uni-body and a wide angle lens that give many degrees of freedom in identifying a suitable placement.
